dropping stage musical blazing the trail of long –running stage productions in
Nigeria. Set in pre-independence Eastern Nigeria, its hold you spellbound every
weekend throughout the ear, spin you around, and leaves you breathlessly

About The
Composer/DirectorSam Uquah Jr. studied music at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka,
and has toured nationally and internationally ,performing with notable Nigerian
groups such as Tunde and Fran Kuboye’s Extended
Family Jazz Band, Prof.Laz Ekwueme’s National Chorale and Orchestra, Oyenka
Onwenu, Steve Rhodes Voices ,and his own I.Q Band. His production credits
includes songs and albums for generation of artistes like Chris Ozigizaga Hanen,Ciceely
Omohinmi, Mike Okri, Esse Agessa,Onyeka Onwenu,Liberia’s Dave Taye,and both the
Nigeria Army Military and Dance BandsHe has worked has lecturer at the College of Education, Warri,
and as an arranger for the Steve Rhodes Orchestra. He has also had a year –
“Breakfast with Segun Odegbami”
He is the founder of Villa JazzMatazz, a performing arts
centre in Surulere Lagos.
